The Chalupa Sisters, a loose association of women

A loose association of women from Skalice near Hradec Králové, founded in 2013, is dedicated to presenting the fashion and social culture of the First Czechoslovak Republic, particularly the 1920s to 1940s. Through period garments, hats, handbags and other accessories, they showcase the elegance of the era, its fashion trends and its emphasis on precise tailoring, with part of the collection consisting of originals and part of models they have made themselves. In preparing their presentations, they draw on period literature, fashion magazines and preserved garments, and they accompany their shows with music corresponding to the given era.
